Ian Trumpower

Ian manages financial and legal matters for 2M Companies, Inc., the Morton H. Meyerson family and their related entities. Prior to joining the Meyerson family, Ian was associate general counsel for HBK Capital Management and practiced law with Weil, Gotshal & Manges and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. Ian was a financial analyst with Kirkland and Ellis prior to earning his law degree.

Ian earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting, with distinction and college honors, from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a juris doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. Ian is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society and is recognized as a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.

Before entering college, Ian proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.
