Jack Baum
Jack and Morton have a long history of pursuing private investments together. Jack’s focus is on founding companies, buying and turning around troubled companies and handling LBO–style transactions. His earlier career included founding Sagebrook Technology Partners in 1998. He also worked in the restaurant industry for 16 years, during which time he founded the Canyon Restaurant Group. As its CEO, he successfully developed multiple concepts and grew the company by 80% before selling to Avado Brands in 1997. After that Jack spent some time developing an operator’s strategy to founding and creating successful companies.
Jack serves on the board of directors for Ingenient Technologies, BridgePoint Technical Manufacturing, Saba Technologies, Centego Marketing, Community Homes for Adults, The Jewish Foundation of Greater Dallas, the Federation’s Foundation Investment Committee and Greenhill School. He lives in Dallas with his wife and two wonderful children. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas and completed the YPO EMBA program at Harvard.
